Imperial Oil Limited, B&C Control Room

This fixed tender project consisted of renovating and adding an addition to an existing control room located in the Imperial Oil Refinery in Sarnia. This labour intensive project was completed while keeping the original control room intact while the rest of the building was demolished and rebuilt.

Blast wall construction was added by installing 9” thick reinforced concrete panels around the exterior of the building structure. Metal cladding was then installed to give the building an architectural look while keeping the safety of its personnel with the blast walls added.

Two sets of locker, lunch and control rooms where completed for the staff in the facility. This project was completed in 2004 with an overall cost of 3.8 million dollars.
